Hailing from Imatra, Finland, Katastrofialue was formed in early 90's to play ferocious hardcore punk for rather apocalyptic results. Inspired by Finnish bands like Terveet Kädet and Maho Neitsyt, but soon incorporating influences from UK82 and mid 80's britcore institutions like Discharge and Extreme Noise Terror, with songs becoming faster and noisier every rehearsal and show. 100% intense d-beat raw punk. This release right here compiles their first demo from 1993, a full studio session from 1994 previously released as a split 7" with Epidemia 5 and "Taivaasta roskiin" 7", as well as three previously unreleased demo takes from 1995 later re-recorded for "Nihilistinen kuolema" 7". Total 32 songs. First time ever on cd format, so to celebrate this, there is a 12 page booklet full of original artwork, rare and previously unseen photos and newspaper clips.
