NÉCROPOLE
Nécropole started in 2013. Two demo tapes were instantly noticed in the Black Metal underground. In 2016 Northern Heritage made one of the rare exceptions to sign band outside Finland. There are only few such cases in label discography. Combination of classic French sound and vital creative energy was too good to pass. Soon followed gigs in Finland that furthermore proved strength of the band.
2018 ”Solarite” album was issued. Presenting further evolved song writing. 2022 Yoga album, again step towards, displaying Nécropole’s ability to go forward and not lose its identity of sound while reaching for new levels.
10 years since signing on NH and the taking first steps in live activities, Nécropole returned to play show in Finland and published the new album. Strength of their live show was witnessed by full venue, with people coming from Finland, France, Germany, US, and more. At the show was available CD, fresh from the press, full length studio album called ”Nadir at the Crown”. 40 minutes of ancient Black Metal. There are steps backwards, forwards and aside. Presenting evolution of their sound, the most diverse album so far. Regardless of thrashing and more deadly moments, the core of flawless melodic vision and epic feel of music is 100% Nécropole. In times when bands are often trapped in the limited style designed to suit tastes of former fans, Nécropole is firmly following its own artistic integrity and brings album that will certainly only grew stronger over time and repeated listens. Substance, as opposed to already chewed routine addition to discography was gladly welcomed at Northern Heritage headquarters.
