With this publication, COMICIDE was brought back to life after almost three decades of silence. This band, founded in the early eighties by Stephen Ah Burroughs (TUNNELS OF AH, FRAG) and Eric Jurenovskis, soon after expanding its line-up, transformed into HEAD OF DAVID, one of the most influential musical groups, combining punk energy with industrial grind. Today, they are often considered the progenitors of GODFLESH, because it was J.K. Broadrick's playing in their line-up that gave him the impetus to operate under this name. In their short life, COMICIDE managed to play several concerts, including alongside CON-DOM. Two of them were recorded and released years later on a cassette "Moral Improvement (Live 1984CE)". However, it was "Chronic Transfusion" that was de facto the project's full-length debut album. It contains six tracks with an industrial edge, built from electronic preparations, sonic manipulations, selected through experiment. Thanks to this, we received a release full of emotional charge, with a large amplitude of intensity, from slightly brighter fragments, resounding in ambient melodies, through drones growing and pulsating, like electricity, to intensive, massive fragments, constituting a counterpoint and giving the right rhythm and narrative, at the same time defining the framework in which the publication is enclosed as a well-thought-out, coherent and full album of the project. It's almost 52 minutes, seems to fit into the convention in which many productions of industrial classics, active in the UK in the eighties and nineties of the 20th century, were released. At the same time, it resounds with a slightly lo-fi vibe, breaking reverberation, noise and grinding, in order to fully achieve the intended goal during the recording process. The album is available on CD and in digital version.
