Mossmarken crafts textured, organic soundscapes inspired by nature and the vast landscapes of north Sweden. Mossmarken blends strings, voices, tape loops and acoustic textures into something both fragile and immersive. The compositions shift from sparse, intimate tones to grand, droning expanses, carrying the listener through forests, over mountains and into the depths of rivers.
Till jord återkommen (“Returned to Soil”) explores the eternal cycle of life and dissolution — how all things fade, transform and return in new form. Across nine movements, field recordings, drones and faint melodies intertwine to evoke moments of solitude, reverence and renewal — a meditation on belonging to nature, moving through darkness and light, and being a part of its cycle of life and death.
